The highlights we cover are the ancient temples and fortresses, cycling through tea plantations and across the scenic trails of the Knuckles Range. Leaving the coast behind we explore the cultural triangle and visit Polonnaruwa, Dambulla and Sigiriya peddling through ancient cities, painted cave temples and climb the dramatic 'Sky Fortress' on two wheels before steadily climbing to wide plains. Kandy and the Hill Country explore the 'Temple of the Tooth' and cycle the lush tea plantations in cooler climates. Search for leopard in Yala National Park Pedal closer where we often see animal and birdlife and spend some time on the southern coast with its crashing surf, relaxed pace of life and historic Portuguese forts, before making our way to the beach for a well-earned rest.  En-route you will visit local houses and experience the way of living of the people & authentic local hospitality. Cycling around the island will offer multiple local experiences with loads of memories.
